Testimonial:

"The Paterson Public School's Free Dental Clinic was able to hire a full-time dentist due to the generous grants received from the Foundation in 2003, 2004, and 2005. This makes Paterson's school system the first school system in New Jersey to have a full-time clinical dentist employee treating students in a school-based clinic that operates 210 days a year. Without the support of the Foundation, children would be on a long list waiting for appointments while the district hired a dental consultant 12 hours each week to provide dental treatment. Many of the children who attend the dental clinic have not had any dental treatment until the first emergency visit to ease pain. The Foundation grant allows the District's clinic to operate as a regular dental office with regular recalls to follow-up with preventive care once emergency and restorative visits are complete. Not only did the Foundation provide financial support for the dentist, they purchased an x-ray processor and various dental instruments necessary for care. Our program has flourished due to the Foundation's continued generosity." - Maria Workman, RDH, MS, Coordinator, Paterson Public Schools Office of Dental Services, Division of Health, 2005
