Searching for a New Dentist? Some Things to Remember

Change is inevitable in life. Maybe you've moved, or your dentist is retiring. Here's how to find another participating Delta Dental dentist.

  • Know which Delta Dental plan covers you. We offer several plans: Delta Dental Premier, Delta's Advantage Program (only in New Jersey), Delta Dental PPO, and DeltaCare USA. Or you may be a member of our dental membership program Delta Dental Patient Direct. Each plan has its own network of participating dentists. Not all dentists participate in every network. Finding a dentist who participates in your Delta Dental plan is the best way to maximize your benefits.

  • Use Delta Dental's Web site or 800 number to find a dentist who participates with your plan. The online "Find a Dentist" feature guides your search for dentists in your plan. You can look for participating dentists near your home or office. You can search for specialists, such as pediatric dentists and endodontists. You can also search by dentist's name. Go to www.deltadentalnj.com and click "Find a Dentist" on the left navigation bar. You may also call our toll-free number, (800) DELTA-OK (335-8265) to ask for a list of participating dentists in your area. This list is computer generated and can be faxed immediately by a Customer Service associate or mailed within a few business days.

If you are unsure whether a dentist participates in your Delta Dental plan, just ask the dentist, or contact Delta Dental.
