Looking for a Unique Gift Idea? Think Delta Dental
Patient Direct
If you know someone without dental insurance in New Jersey, think about giving them access to lower dental fees. Annual membership in Delta Dental Patient Direct (DDPD) costs just $66 for individuals and $96 for families.
DDPD members receive access to participating New Jersey dentists, who limit their fees to no more than what the DDPD fee schedule allows. The DDPD fee schedule is based on a reduction of the average fees submitted to Delta Dental of New Jersey by New Jersey participating dentists. Since individual dentists' usual fees vary from office to office, the cost savings can vary as well. However, DDPD cost savings for periodic evaluations, comprehensive exams, full mouth x-rays and bitewing x-rays averaged 30% to 42% in 2007.
DDPD is not insurance; therefore, there are no deductibles, claims to file, frequency limitations, or waiting periods. Even treatment for pre-existing dental conditions is subject to the DDPD fee schedule.
DDPD includes general services such as routine cleanings, fillings, and x-rays, as well as crowns, root canals, gum treatments, extractions, dentures, orthodontia, and cosmetic services. Members are also eligible for vision care savings.
More than 2,000 New Jersey dentists are part of the Delta Dental Patient Direct network.
